It’s the start of another work week. Thursday is Thanksgiving and Friday everyone will be out shopping for Black Friday. Hard to believe Christmas and Chanukah are just around the corner.
Over the weekend that same black hen that laid eggs and hatched out those peeps has done it again. Not one lived the last time, she lost them all. Bob saw the peeps scooped them all up and took them inside the work shed in a cage with a heat lamp, food and water. So far just one died. They have a much better chance being in under the heat then being outside in the cold with the mother hen. Maybe this clutch will make it.
We did a lot of cleaning up outside, putting things away and out of the way of the tractor. Thinking ahead if snow needs to be plowed, things can not be in the way. We moved the picnic table and benches, all the hoses are coiled now and inside the work shed, just things like that.
The turkey is out of the freezer and defrosting in the refrigerator and hopefully by Thursday it will be defrosted and ready to cook. When I read the defrosting label and it said four days I was wow long time to defrost that turkey.
The dogs are all out barking, I can hear them. They eat so fast in the morning just so they can head out to see exactly what is going on outside. Traci, if you are reading this blog your babies are just fine. They are all using the doggie doors and eating well. Wy is doing exactly what you said sleeping a lot. Snapple is such fun for an old girl who is mmm maybe 15,16, 17 yrs of age who knows. She’s adorable.
I am off for now, I’ll check in later.
