Happy 2009 everyone. It’s another bitterly cold morning.I am grateful the winds have died down. Sadly, since I wasn’t feeling well I went to bed early and missed all the celebrations(guess this means I am getting old). I hope everyone enjoyed.
The dogs all had a warm breakfast or their big biscuits. Dakota who eats in the evenings and is on a very special diet gave me such a sad look I grabbed a handful of his own food and gave him a nibble too(sorry Amanda). We cuddled a little also since he likes me now. Sully flew out this morning, did his business and came flying back in. It was even too cold for him to want to stay out. My kids could care less about the cold. They were running in and out and that silly Borzoi L.A. was laying outside in the tiny bit of sun that was shining in her run.. typical Borzoi!
I am off to get some much needed people laundry complete and see if Bob would like some brunch.

Houdini has been in deep ….. lately. It is breeding season(I think)and he has been screaming, prancing around, pulling feathers, ripping papers and just being plain naughty. Between he and Monty I am ready to pull some feathers myself.
I am still suffering with a this cold that now has settled in my chest, beats the head cold last week. I will give it a few more days, then I will call the doctor back.
Surgery is now set for January 19th. I hope recovery won’t cut into the spring riding season.
