I have to thank Suzanne Weimer for taking the feral queen this morning to be spayed. She sadly was pregnant and the unborn euthanized. This is why it is so important to spay and neuter your pets. This was a feral queen which means wild, very wild and her kittens had they have been born would have been the same way. The feral feline numbers here on the farm are in the mid thirties now. People drop these un-neutered/spayed felines off and don’t care. If I had all the money we have sunk into the effort of doing this, I’d have a little more money in my pocket, but we do the RIGHT THING! Spaying and Neutering. Suzanne I can not thank you enough for all your help in our efforts to control this feral colony. Thank you also for the cat food, every bag, big or small helps.
I was out taking in some sunshine and fresh air and snapped a few photographs on my one allowed walk for the day. I hope you enjoy the pictures. In some you will see some of the felines that have been with us for years. I think Lemoncello has become our resident Redneck Cat!

Good morning, it isn’t too cool outside this morning, but very overcast.
Bob and I were up and out quickly as he had a house fire from work. He had to meet some people at the home, where the fire was.
We got the dogs fed, runs cleaned and everything done. Later I will let dogs out, that I’m able to.
Over the winter months two stray feral felines showed up. One is a Calico so we know she is female, the other is a thin type of white and grey tiger stripe. Both you rarely see. I borrowed some traps from Suzanne Weimer once again from No Nonsense Neutering and set traps all weekend and nothing. I did catch cats already spayed or neutered however. Last night I decided ok use some stinky fish in one of the traps and just some dry food in the others. I moved them really close to the house so I didn’t have to go far to check them. Well, needless to say I caught everyone cat I didn’t want. The stinky fish got eaten and at 10 PM I said the heck with it, I’m heading to bed. Bob comes in from his board meeting and I said did you check the traps at the end of the porch, he says no. We both go out and low and behold there she was, the one I wanted in a trap wooooohooooo. I quickly called Suzanne and made arrangements since I am prohibited to drive or lift. Thank you Suzanne. Hopefully we’ll get this girl spayed, vaccinated, ear tipped etc and once home re release here on the farm. I snapped a few pictures of her I will upload shortly.
I wish you all a great day. It’s a good start for us knowing another feral cat will be taken care of.

Her she is…
