(Champion Houndhollow Hunter of Jubilee)
Morning all. WOW spring is here yeah, finally. We might even get lucky and be rain free through the weekend. How nice would that be.
Above is a picture of my Hunter who went to live with Bodil and Peter Aczel when he was a little puppy, maybe 10 wks old. They grew him out and showed him to his championship, used him to sire several litters of puppies and have now retired him into a companion home. I know I will miss my baby screams for sure, he did that when he saw me. Some dogs never do forget their original “moms”. I know he will be happy and loved very much in the home he is in. I wish his new onwers all the best with him.
I was up and out early and got dogs out because it was already close to 70 degrees out. I hate running dogs after they eat so I will be changing “out” times to make sure all the dogs get fed early enough, have time to settle before going out in the yard. Early evenings have been nice, cooler and the dogs seem to enjoy the out time then.
Marlena, Nimey is doing great. He has almost mastered the dog door and had finally decided to eat when I put his food down. He looks a little thinner, but not much. I hope you are enjoying your vacation and not worrying about him too much. I do need to keep him on his leash in the yard, he tough to catch otherwise. You were right, he loves to run! Tomorrow is a very busy day, lots of new arrivals so expect my post to be later in the day.
I still have this horrible cold, coping the best I can with it. I am off to do what I can around here. Have a great day.
I am glad to hear that he is doing good. He loves to run, usually he listens good, but he is enjoying the freedom of running around. Thanks
