Good morning, it’s a very very wet morning. What a show we had last evening with the lightening. I saw that and headed out to the kennel knowing full well we had a few dogs that were scared of the thunder. I’m not sure who was more scared Abbey the Beagle, Logan the Labrador Retriever, Cooper the Golden Retriever or Penelope the Border Terrier. All of them got one on one time with me sitting with them trying to comfort them until the storm passed. It was probabaly a good hour if not longer I sat with them. It sounded like baseballs were coming down instead of rain. They all survived their shaking and are all back to tail wagging this morning.
Bob and I headed out early, got all the dogs fed breakfast, he did the buckets for me today and I headed out to do the pressure washing and mopping. With that done I took a stroll out back and it is way too wet to let dogs out. I nearly skidded myself. I decided love and hugs were in order. Bob as you saw, caught me in action and snapped a few photographs(pardon the outfit and hairdoo). Logan, especially enjoyed his neck scratches and hiney rubs.
I am off now to check on the gardens and drink a cup of coffee. I will see if things dry out enough to get dogs out in the catch pen areas today instead of the exercise yard. My guess is… I will providing the drizzle nonsense stops.
Have a great Sunday
