Ok, here are the pictures of the “rocks” in the bowls of dog food. If your dog gobbles his or her food I would highly recommend the “rock method” after seeing how well it does work. Way to go Yerger’s, awesome idea! They also eat in raised bowls off the ground.
Hemi and Neva send their love and YES they are behaving well.
Thanks Mom for the kind words. It is all your fault for getting me Bambi when I was so small. I remember he lived until he was 18 yrs old. many years to love your first dog.

This afternoons slideshow features Neva and Hemi, Dax and Lexi. It is beautiful out, the sun is shining and there is a pleasant breeze. I think the dogs enjoyed the freedom, too bad the exercise yard is still sporting its pond. Hopefully today’s sun and breeze will help dry the “pond” out!!!
To the Yeager family, your hugs and kisses were given to Neva and Hemi.

Good morning. OMG could that be the sun that is out this morning? It sure is, ah finally.
I was up and out early this morning. All the dogs had their breakfast(rocks in the bowls and all). I’ll explain the two Dobermans Hemi and Neva eat so fast their owners came up with the idea of adding one big rock to their feeding dish, making it harder for them to get to the food, thus slowing the eating process, brilliant idea. Dobermans typically woof their food and this is a great method of slowing that down. I will snap a few pictures later so you can see exactly what I am talking about. The kennel runs were swept and pressure washer outside, we are ready for the day. I hope the sun begins to dry the grass out in the exercise yard. I would like to allow dogs out but safety always comes first. I did get those that need to potty outside their kennel runs out already. The others will get out once I return from physical therapy.
I hope you like the slideshow above. It features Lexi the Weimeraner and Dakota the Lhasapoo. I think Dakota fell in love. He has been here so many times and has never whined or even shown interest in his neighbors but…. he loves Lexi. If she goes out so does he, she comes in and lays by the fence he lays down right next to her. It is quite adorable to see. Love is in the air…
I am off to PT, I’ll update later as some dogs will be leaving us later this morning.
Enjoy the sunshine.
