As you can see by some of the photographs below we did get one heck of a storm last night. It knocked down the corn, pepper plants. It made a mess of things. You can also see what we had to harvast because it was lying on the ground. Tonight, I guess we’ll be doing some more canning. Anyone want to come help?? Kidding, Bob and I work as a team and get the job done quickly.
The dogs all had one on one time inside. It is really muggy out and feels like rain.
I just wanted to show you the pictures and give you all a quick update. Later…

Good morning, I think. What a night of horrible storms. Besides worrying about the dogs, especially Plato in this weather I was up most of the night. The rain as you can see from the two photographs above was more like a flood. You could not see the driveway, it was like a stream just flowing, washing everything in its way, away. The corn is completely laid down, peppers and tomato plants on their sides. What a huge mess. We had several brown outs last evening, lights flickering, cable television was out and one close crack of lightening which had Bob flying back into the house(he was on the porch). The electric then went out, but soon came back on. When I got up this morning some lights and this computer weren’t working the storm actually tripped many circuit breakers in our circuit breaker box. Bob got us back up and running quickly, thank goodness.
The dogs all road the storm out well. Plato had his meds when I heard the thunder start. He was better then I thought. Things are wet and musty, but I cleaned up the best I could. There are leaves everywhere, more of a mess. The dogs all ate breakfast and I made sure I gave treats this morning. As you might imagine the dogs will not be going out in the exercise yard until that water receeds back. Even the catch pen area has puddles, so today it will be belly rubs, etc. inside.
I am off to get the wet dog laundry washed once again. Stay dry all, more rain is expected today and it looks like it will be here soon.
