Good morning everyone. I have to say rising in the dark hasn’t been easy for me. It just is odd how quickly things are changing. I know before too long we’ll be turning our clocks back.
With the days growing shorter I think even the dogs are sleeping in. I didn’t hear them until I fed the cats, that always stirs them up. I went out to the kennel, fed them all breakfast, then headed outside to pressure things clean. Once inside the floors were swept and washed. I was glad to at least see the sun come out, maybe now things will finally begin to dry out. Diamond and Slash the two Borzois leave this afternoon, it was a pleasure having them here. I know Bob will miss his hugs from Diamond for sure.
I think the plan is to pick the balance of the corn this morning so I’ll be busy getting that blanched and in the freezer. This is a very time consuming job but it must get done.
