Happy Birthday Birdie, you’re 16 years old today. How many dogs live to that age nowadays? We are grateful to her breeder Jackie Levin, her husband Steve and daughter Kim at Fyrefly Whippets for breeding such a wonderful girl. I remember the first time we came to visit and saw the entire litter. Birdie, then called Tequila aka Tiki Bird curled up in Bob’s lap and today she still will do the same thing. She’s an old girl now, respected by the other dogs and treasured by Bob. She will always be his special Princess. Happy Birthday Birdie OXOXOXOXOX WE LOVE YOU

Good morning to everyone, my day started with a song Happy Birthday to Bird. She barked at me as to say just feed me my normal breakfast, the heck with the song. Bob really spoiled her yesterday so I didn’t want to put her in overload so she’ll get her cookies later this afternoon. The others dogs had their breakfast as well and Max and Miley left us until next visit.
I am not sure if I will be able to get dogs out to play today, it is really wet and the leaves out in the exercise yard are very slick. I almost went down walking to the kennel on them. Maybe, the catch pen area will be my choice if it dries out a little bit. I must say yesterday none of the dogs minded being inside as they were rubbed, scratched and got extra treats. I’m sure I can do the same today of necessary.
I am off to the gym, Bob is home and in charge. Have a wonderful day.
