Good morning all, it’s a very cloudy morning feels like rain will be coming in before too long.
I’ve already been out to the dogs, cleaned their runs, swept, and changed water buckets. I set a kennel run up for Betsy the Beagle who will be arriving later this afternoon.
People often ask me about our birds and I figured this would be a good time to share some photos of Delilah with you. She was a rescue, when she arrived her diet consisted of boxed mashed potatoes. We were told she was a male and could be aggressive. We never saw her be mean, so we took her. As you can see first off she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, she instantly bonded with Bob and we found out she was a hen. Laying eggs was a dead giveaway. This bond she has with Bob is truly unique, it’s love. She is a plucker, meaning she pulls out her feathers. She’s been to many avian vets over the years, she eats a special prescription diet and still plucks. We love her just the way she is, naked. Delilah, is a very special bird and means the world to Bob. enjoy the pics.
I’m off to get some laundry done, have a great day.
