Here at The Inn at Hound Hollow we have been boarding some of the dogs since they are just young puppies. We have watched them grow out of puppy-hood, grow into that awkward stage, then into fun loving, devoted pets. Sadly, some have gaited across the Rainbow Bridge and this page will feature those who are no longer with us.
Please remember each and every one of them were very special to us.
If photographs are available I will post them.
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE PHOTOGRAPHS
These were some of my dogs.. I miss you all dearly
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together…

I am at a loss for words right now. Two dogs leaving us in just two weeks doesn’t seem far. Birdie was a special girl, loved more by Bob then anyone can imagine. She was his baby from day one, so to speak. From the first time she curled up and crawled in his lap to tonight when she left us, once again in his lap. She will always been remember for her kid, gentle nature and that special connection between her and Bob. Run free Bird… we love you and will miss you greatly.

“Penelope” Champion Jubilee She’s The One
It is with a extremely heavy heart I have to tell you I laid Penelope to rest. She was my very first Border Terrier, one who will always hold a special place in my heart. I picked her out from actually two litters of puppies after seeing them several times. I saw her trot by and said she’s the one I am taking, thus her name. She finished her championship rather easily as she had that cocky, look at me attitude. She will be greatly missed.
R.I.P. Penelope I love you.

Thank you so much for breeding my Chessica your “CherryBomb” nearly 16 years ago. Her entrance into my life inspired me to change my life for the better and end a bad marriage. Two years after I bought Chessie as a gangly, red pup, I found myself married to the man of my dreams and here we are living our dreams with our own horse farm in a special secluded place full of wild magic. It was a good place for Chessie to live out her days, chasing the barn cats, wandering around the barn while I mucked stalls and racing through the paddock. Borzois are just plain special dogs. Chessie was the happiest and friendliest dog I have ever met. She loved going places, loved every person she met and every dog she saw, she thought was her best friend. I truly think she did not believe bad things existed unless it was arthritis. She was an amazing animal. I am grateful for the time we shared together.
Thank you so much for designing her.

Hi Missy,
I’ll do that. We took some photos over the last couple weeks and the day he left us. It’s a matter of downloading them to the computer. Scott is taking Sagan’s passing particularly hard. I think harder than when Gort left us. Scott would tell me frequently that Sagan was my dog. I was his favorite.
I used to hold him on my lap on the couch.
We’re having Sagan individually cremated. His ashes will sit next to Gort’s. We made sure to take some of his hair. There were no toys to keep, as he never played with any. All he wanted to do was run and have you chase him. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to do that for quite some time, so we did the next best thing he enjoyed – pet him and brush him over and over again. There were times he would beckon us to come pay attention to him, and he could be quite insistent. There was no way you could ignore the Czar. Sagan was one of a kind.
Thank you for your kind words.
Louise
