Evening Update 7:01 PM

The weather man was finally correct. We got hit this afternoon with one heck of a thunderstorm. The lightening was so close, I was watching from the porch and when it cracked the ground shook. The wind stirred up as well and of course the hard downpours of rain. Then the electric went poof, on, off on, off and stayed off for awhile. The dogs never got out due to the weather. I did snap a few pictures inside of the dogs I haven’t featured yet.
Don’t be alarmed when you see Otis. He has a E-Collar on due to a hematoma in his ear. I want to show he was still happy and chipper even wearing the collar. Tomorrow I am calling the vet again and will most likely be taking Otis in to have it looked at. From what I am told he had a chronic ear issue and this is probably another flare up of the same thing. We are doing exactly what the vet has told us to do until she sees him.

I am off to have dinner. I’ll post later tonight.

Morning everyone.The sun looks like it is trying to come out this morning, but it still very cloudy. I’ve been very busy out in the kennels all morning which is why I am posting so late. We had terrible thunderstorms last night and leaves from the black walnut trees were blown all over. I spent probably close to an hour hosing out all the kennel runs because there were leaves everywhere. I gather the combination of heavy rain and some wind created the mess for me. The exercise yard is soaking wet as well. I opted to allow it to try and dry out before letting dogs out. I heard on the radio that more rain is expected so I will have to play it by ear whether dogs will get out in the yard today.
I am going to try and at least get some inside photographs to post later. There goes the buzzer on my washing machine. I’ll post again later. Have a great day.
