Update 10:09 PM
Just wanted to pop on quickly before we might lose power. It is storming pretty bad right now. I know the dogs are inside and safe so until it stops I am staying put. When it stops or slows down I will head out to give hugs and biscuits and make sure they are all ok.
Stay safe tonight. I’ll update tomorrow.
Evening Update 7:04 PM
The day was a wash, it stormed hard here. The yellow jackets for some reason are in full force. Bob got stung tonight feeding the chickens. We have sprayed all around the areas we saw nests.
The dogs did get out right before dinner for walks, no running just before the rain came again. I had Lady out and it started to pour so she quick did her business and we came in.
I am off to make some zucchinin breads. I’ll update later.
Good morning, I think… is it a good morning when you walk outside only to be stung by yellow jackets? This is the second time in a week I’ve been stung. Better me then any of the animals.
The dogs all had their breakfast. The exercise yard is soaked from last night’s heavy rains. It actually sounded like hail on the roof at one point but I didn’t get up to see. We are suppose to have rain all day and into this eveing as well. That being said the dogs will get plenty of love, hugs and belly rubs inside. Anubus, has finally learned to use the doggie door which he was very scared of but if I keep it opened a small amount he will now go in and out on his own. Enzo is still being a silly Bulldog. He has a Nylabone he chases all over his kennel run. MacGuire is being his typical self, always there with a bark and a wag of his tail. Lady is still learning the routine although yesterday she really enjoyed being out with Bob. The others are all doing well too.
Have a good day and stay dry! I’ll catch up later today.
You must be very tasty to those dang bees. Maybe you need to tell Bobby he should buy you some bee gear and it doesn’t need to be heated.
That’s ok.. he got stung tonight right by the chickens. The yellow jackets are so territorial, they sting anything moving. My hand is still swelled up and so is his elbow. We are just so sweet, NOT!!!!
